SMB’s Razwana Akram sponsors performance at world’s oldest art show, The Venice Biennale

9th May 2019

SMB’s Razwana Akram, Partner in the Media team, will be sponsoring a contemporary performance by Angolan artist, Nástio Mosquito in the opening week of the 58th Venice Biennale, the world’s oldest art show. Razwana, whose practice focuses on the contemporary arts, will be attending the Biennale this week.

The performance is part of a new initiative to bring live art to the “in-between” spaces of the historic city, in collaboration with London’s Delfina Foundation.

Nástio Mosquito’s performance, No.One.Gives.A.Mosquito’s.Ass.About.Our.Performance, runs from 8-11 May. Tickets are available here.

The show has been described as “a series of guerrilla-style performances” where five musicians come together in a “climatic musical burst” and is presented with support from JAHMEK Contemporary and Razwana Akram.
