Razwana Akram and Blaise Gaymer have been acting for Ga Films Limited, the producer of the documentary The Hard Stop on its financing arrangements with the BFI.
George Amponsah’s intimate documentary reveals the story of Mark Duggan’s friends and family following his death after being shot in a ‘Hard Stop’ police procedure in 2011. This incident ignited the Tottenham riots that escalated into a week of the worst civil unrest in recent British history.
The Hard Stop will premiere at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival following support by the BFI, Sundance and Bertha DocHouse and will also screen at the London Film Festival in October.
