Proposed Espionage Act under fire for failing to protect whistleblowers and journalists

A recently closed Law Commission consultation has drawn criticism for blurring the lines between spying and whistleblowing in its proposed Espionage Act. Pamela Reddy is an Officer of the International Bar Association’s Criminal Law Committee and recently spoke to their publication, Global Insight, about the mooted legislation’s broad remit and the possible implications.
