Lara is a partner in the family team. She acts as both a legal adviser and family mediator, and has wide experience of all areas of family law and has particular experience in the resolution of high net worth financial matters arising on divorce and separation.
She also has experience in dealing with private law children cases, including applications for contact, residence, and leave to remove from the jurisdiction.
She is recognised for her robust approach in handling complex financial and child-related matters, and her ability to bring matters to a swift conclusion without the need for lengthy litigation.
She is appreicated by clients who note that: ‘In what feels like an inhuman process, Lara is a rare human. Calm, reassuring, and consummately professional, she takes the time to clearly explain, as well as to take on board thoughts that may come from another angle, and incorporate them into what becomes a shared strategy and approach.’
Lara is also a qualified Family Mediator and is noted for her ability to deal with all issues arising from the breakdown of relationships sensitively and constructively.
Lara was named in Spear’s Magazine Family Law Index 2015 – a list of the country’s top 50 family lawyers – as a “Rising Star”. Lara is described as a savvy practitioner and is commended for her genuine warmth and intellectual ability.
Lara has recently been shortlisted for the Family Lawyer of the Year Award 2016 by CityWealth Future Leaders. She regularly provides pro bono advice to the BPP Family Legal Advice Centre – supervising law students in providing pro bono advice to family clients
