Ewan jointly heads the Employment team. He advises on all aspects of employment law with specialist expertise on advising on Change Management, collective consultation, TUPE transfers, Staff Poaching and providing support on complex corporate transactions. He deals with matters of equality and diversity. Ewan advises established businesses, start-up’s, charities and public bodies and senior executives.
Ewan represents clients in all aspects of employment litigation. He has significant experience in helping clients implement changes to contractual terms and conditions and in dealing with senior executive disputes.
He particularly enjoys assisting clients by devising and delivering bespoke in-house training from Board level to shop floor to help impact staff culture and provide “reasonable steps” defence for the employer against vicarious liability claims.
Chambers has described Ewan as “astute and takes the sensible approach”. The Legal 500 reports that Ewan’s advice is commended for being ‘tailored’, and ‘timely, comprehensive and relevant’.
Ewan is an accredited mediator and is outside counsel for the Members’ Complaints Investigation Panel for the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
