Erica Henshilwood

Erica is a Senior Associate in the Media: Content and Disputes and the Dispute Resolution teams with a broad media and commercial litigation practice.

She advises national newspapers and online publishers in relation to defamation, privacy and harassment issues/litigation, including pre-publication injunctions, as well as undertaking pre-publication clearance work for publishers. She is ranked in the 2017 Chambers directory as an “Associate to watch” and is “praised by clients for her ability to “absorb extremely complex matters, assess and analyse information and obtain desired outcomes.”.

Erica also has experience in commercial litigation acting for large national and multi-national corporations in respect of breach of contract, professional negligence, intellectual property, regulatory matters and breach of trust.

She is qualified to practice in both New Zealand and Australia, and also experience in advising charities and not-for-profit organisation such as the Australian lobbyist group GetUp! on various constitutional and human rights issues.
