In this edition:

• The Court of Appeal has confirmed that holiday pay cannot be pro-rated for a term-time worker as the Working Time Regulations simply require a straightforward exercise of multiplying a week’s pay by 5.6.
• The charity organisation Rights of Women has launched a helpline offering free legal advice for women experiencing sexual harassment, including how to bring a claim and the use of Non-Disclosure Agreements.
• A Parliamentary Committee has published a report on ‘Enforcing the Equality Act’ stating that the current approach of individuals having to lodge claims to enforce equality law is no longer fit for purpose.
• The DWP has opened a consultation seeking views on different ways in which the Government and employers can take action to reduce ill health-related job loss, including extending SSP to low paid employees.
