Employment Law Weekly News Update – 14 December 2017

In this edition:

• The ECJ rule that where the right to paid holiday is denied, the worker can carry over all the consecutive periods of unpaid leave until their employment ends and be paid for all the leave not taken.
• Morrisons has been found vicariously liable for the actions of a former internal auditor who posted the personal data of nearly 100,000 employees online.
• The Equality and Human Rights Commission have published new practical guidance for employers on sexual harassment in the workplace, which includes a definition and examples of what sexual harassment is.
• The Fit for Work service has announced that from 15 December 2017, Fit for Work will no longer be running its referral and assessment service.
