In this edition:

• An ET awards £226,000 for unfair dismissal after an HR manager decided an employee should be managed out of the business fairly early on because she did not know how to deal with the issues he had raised.
• The President of the Employment Tribunals has published an addendum to the Presidential Guidance on awards for injury to feelings and psychiatric injury (the Vento bands) increasing the lower and upper limits.
• The Equalities Office set out a summary of gender pay gap figures published by the public sector deadline on 30 March 2019 and the private sector deadline on 4 April 2019, which show 4,000 pay gaps have worsened.
• The Home Office has confirmed there will be no change to the way EU, EEA and Swiss citizens prove their right to work until 1 January 2021, whether or not the UK leaves the EU without a deal.
