The Music Managers Forum (MMF) and YouTube Music have unveiled the first 24 beneficiaries of the Accelerator Programme for Music Managers (APMM). SM&B, alongside other legal and accounting firms, will provide business support as part of this new venture.
APMM, funded by YouTube, aims to assist emerging music management businesses by providing a combination of educational and financial support, including annual grants of up to £15,000. The programme is also supported by Arts Council England and Scottish Music Industry Association (SMIA).
The APMM aims to draw new managers from England and Scotland who represent talent from across the music industry. The scheme was launched in October 2018 and is the first of its kind, combining funding and professional development designed solely for artist, songwriter and producer managers.
